Onion Chicken Stew Recipe

Today it’s chicken. Not so elaborate as the chicken korma, nor chicken with plums, but just as good. This recipe is very (very) easy. It never hurts an easy recipe tlike this. Especially if it is delicious. This kind of recipes saved my life when I was a student, because of its simplicity. And also now, because it is the kind of dishes you can bring to work and even reheated are still good.
This recipe for onion chicken stew has no complications. Althouth it has very few ingredients, it is true, but it must not be understimated. Just cut the onions and cook all together. Surely you have already felt the sweet aftertaste of the cooked onions over low heat on chicken. Yum !

Onion Chicken Stew Recipe
Ingredientes
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 3 large onions, peeled and cut into rounds
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper
Elaboración
- Salt and pepper the chicken.
- Put a pot over medium heat with 4 tablespoons of olive oil.
- When the oil is hot, brown the chicken pieces.
- Add the onion and bay leaf and stir.
- Cover the pot and let everything simmer for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Remove the lid the last 10 minutes if there is a lot of sauce.
- And it is ready… Easy!
Sugerencias, trucos y consejos
- You can buy the whole chicken and cut it yourself or you can ask the butcher to do it for you.
- The chicken will release the water it contains and will cook in its own juice.
- You can also add a few seeds of black pepper along with the onion.
- Serve with white rice or fries .

Bueno… yo lo suelo preparar con patatas fritas cuando lo hago en fin de semana, cuando me lo llevo al trabajo, lo suelo acompañar con arroz y/o verduras.
Seguro que la versión de tu madre también tiene que estar muy rica. O incluso mejor, que para eso es comida de madre, je, je, je 😉
