Pear and Parmesan Rocket Salad Recipe

The rocket is one of the vegetables that like most, but it has not been lake that before. At first, I felt that th erocket had a strange flavor, but I have always end up buying it again. it must have something because now, despite how much I disliked at the beginning, and although I still think it has a weird flavor, I can say without hesitation that I like it very much. Not only in salads but also in other preparations like on top of pizzas.
The very smae friend that taught me the recipe of pepper steamed salmon told me this recipe when she payed me a visit in Grenoble. That was a year ago… Time goes by so fast! I must say that the sweet flavor of the pear, with the salted of the cheese and the rocket goes great together. It can be perfectly used to garnish a nice piece of grilled meat.

Pear and Parmesan Rocket Salad Recipe

Ingredientes

  • 1 bunch of rocket
  • 1 pear
  • 50 g of Parmesan cheese flakes
  • 1/2 lemon
  • For the vinaigrette
  • Olive oil
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • salt

Elaboración

  1. Wash the rocket and dry it well.
  2. Peel the pear and cut it into thin slices. A vegetable peeler comes in handy.
  3. Add a few drops of lemon to the pear . This prevents the pear from blacken.
  4. In a pot, add all vinaigrette ingredients, close and shake until you obtain a smooth sauce.
  5. Place the ingredients in a bowl.
  6. Mix everything with the vinaigrette.
  7. Done.

  • You can add other lettuces.
  • Use it to garnish grilled meats or eat it alone.
  • Vary the ratio of oil and vinegar for the vinaigrette to your liking.
