
Homemade Croutons Recipe

Ingredientes
- Bread (french baguette, preferably)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
Elaboración
- Preheat the oven grill.
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Crush the garlic in a mortar and pour it into the pan. Brown the garlic just a little (1 minute, not much more).
- Add the bread and stir to soak it well in the oil.
- Brown the bread for a few minutes.
- If the pan is not ovenproof, change the bread to a suitable baking pan.
- Grill the bread for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes uniformly golden and brown, as you like.
- And that’s it.
Sugerencias, trucos y consejos
- You can use the spice you prefer into the oil just before adding the bread.
- You can use any kind of aromatic oils, like rosemary oil, garlic, chili, with bay leaves… One that I like a lot: the oil from marinating dried tomatoes.
