Tiramisu Recipe (Easy)
Serves: 4 Time: 30 m Difficulty: Easy
3 medium eggs 250 g of mascarpone 4 tablespoons of icing sugar Ladyfingers 1 cup of espresso A drizzle of Amaretto Cocoa powder Directions First, make the coffee to let it cool. Next, separate the yolks from the egg whites. Beat the yolks with the icing sugar until it whitens. Add the mascarpone to the yolks and mix well. On the other side, add a pinch of salt to the whites and whisk until hard peaks. Add one third of the whites to the yolk and mascarpone mixture and gently fold in. Add another third and repeat the previous step. Add the remaining whites and fold. Mix coffee with liqueur. Now, you can choose to prepare either a big platter of tiramisu, or individual portions. Place a layer of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, then a layer of mascarpone mousse. Place another layer ofladyfingers dipped in coffee and finish with another layer of mascarpone mousse. Let stand at least 4 hours in the refrigerator. It is done. At the table or just before serving, sprinkle with cocoa. Enjoy! Hints, Tips, and Tricks I soak the ladyfingers in the coffee very quickly, otherwise they will break. Amaretto is an Italian liqueur with a hint of bitter almonds. It can be replaced by any other alcohol of your choice, or even nothing. It is always easier to make individual portions of tiramisu. Mascarpone should be at room temperature to make it easier to mix with the yolks. Cocoa powder just before serving so it does not dry up. To sprinkle cocoa, you can help a small strainer. You can also add some sweet whipped cream to the tiramisu. I prefer not to use it as mascarpone contains a lot of fat. If you do not have mascarpone, you can replace it by cream cheese. It is also good. If you want a decoration at the end just keep the mascarpone mousse for the final layer in the piping bag in the refrigerator for 4 hours. You can decorate just before serving. For chocolate lovers, you can sprinkle with cocoa powder before placing the second layer of ladyfingers.
